750th Anniversary Celebrations

2010 is the 750th Anniversary of the old part of St. John’s Church. We hope you will join us at one of our events and contribute a good news story! We aim to collect 750 from our community this year.

We think our anniversary is a great opportunity not just for St John’s but for the whole community of Old Coulsdon to celebrate our history, share good news about our present and ask questions about our future.

Medieval Banquet; on April 24th we travelled back in time to celebrate our anniversary at a medieval banquet! We joined King Henry V as he made merry following his victory at the Battle of Agincourt. We enjoyed a three-course meal including a hog roast and were entertained by live medieval music, dancing and drama performed by local amateurs of all ages!

Some of the activities planned are;
