Open Hand

Open Hand is a voluntary body of people who offer help to the elderly, housebound and those in need in the community.

The group is flexible in the variety of services offered, ranging from regular visiting in the home, shopping, collection of prescriptions, lifts to hospital, GPs or elsewhere, relieving of carers etc. The support given can be on long term or short term basis and referrals come from many sources including GPs, Social Services, neighbours, relatives etc.
