A church is foremost a group of people. This page introduces you to some of the people at St. John's. If you would like to speak to any of us for any reason, please contact us.

We also have four Readers.

An accomplished musician, Paul has been Rector of St John's since 2003. Also a keen gardener, he has patiently improved the Rectory garden where he is often reminded of the church: "Feed it, weed it, prune it, and it will grow and be productive." His dream for the church is: "on earth, as it is in heaven." After completing her studies at Trinity College, Bristol, Linda joined the Parish in June 2009 and was ordained Priest in July 2010. She is looking forward to lots of learning, serving and fellowship at St John's. Linda is particularly interested in faith in the workplace, parenting and green theology. Sue was ordained in October 2011 and joined us as an Hon. Assistant Curate working on Thursdays and Sundays. She continues working part-time in a school teaching swimming. Prior to family life, Sue worked for many years as an Administrator at Marks & Spencer's head office. She enjoys playing the piano, visiting places of interest, and garden design. Sue enjoys discovering a diversity of prayer and exploring the work of the Holy Spirit. Gill was already a long-standing member of the congregation before being ordained in 1998. With a career in social services, she is particularly aware of the needs of the frail and vulnerable in our community. Gill retired as our Non Stipendiary Minister in September 2008 and took her last Service as a regular member of staff in August 2010 but continues to work in and with St. John's. Simon has been at St. John's since 2004. After a full-time curacy, he is now non-stipendiary and works as Tutor for Biblical Studies at SEITE, training candidates for ministry in the Anglican, Methodist and Lutheran churches. His ongoing role in the parish includes running the Dads Together group.
