You are outside the gate looking in. Turn left for the green north of the churchyard or move forwards to enter.

The entrance to the church grounds is a lych gate, so called because there is provision for a coffin to be lych or let down during the wait in a funeral. In 1912 it was described as "modern". Note the mounting blocks on the left, a relic of the days when many people came to church on horseback.
