You are by the main path facing the middle of the graveyard, i.e. southwards.
Of the two such views this is from nearer
the gate. Turn left for the church or right for the gate.
Until recently there was a cypress on the south side of the path but it
became unsafe and had to be removed. The stump, on the left, is sometimes
used to leave floral tributes. It is lighter but more exposed
than the place under the yew near the door.
The seat commemorating the Heath family was restored by two officers
of the Church in memory of their wives.
