You are in the Church Lounge, formerly the North Aisle of the old church. Turn left for the Rowed Memorial or about for the exit to the old church nave.

The North wall was rebuilt early in the 19th. Century and has many memorials from that period.

Commemorating members of the Stride family, particularly Churchwarden Walter Ieken Stride who died in 1899, are windows showing Archbishops of Canterbury. From the left, they are Augustine, Theodore (of Tarsus), Lanfranc and Anselm. They are by the Victorian Charles Eamer Kempe (1837-1907). His trademark, a wheat sheaf, is in the lower left corners of the portraits of Augustine and Lanfranc. The centre top image shows that with Augustine.

The tablets below the windows record entombments in the Pitter family vault.

Between, the tablet for Sanders is over that for the Hitchins family.
