You are in the nave of the old church. Turn left for the Church Lounge, right for the new church
or about for the lobby, look up for the arch or move forward to the sanctuary.
You are looking along the old church towards the altar. Most of the seating is now in the chancel,
the carpeted area which starts at the small step. This is longer than the nave, reflecting the
church's origin as an abbey church. The structure of this part is substantially as when it was
rebuilt in the reign of Henry III except that there was a priest's entrance in the wall to the
right. This entrance is now blocked off and only visible from the other side, in the kitchen.
Open the egg for a Christmas extra.
When the churches were redecorated at the end of 2009, some carpeting was added to the nave.
