Coulsdon Parish Church - Old Coulsdon, Surrey

By the door in the North West corner of the New Church is the Angel Window, shown full length on the right. It is behind an interior partition and is rarely seen.

The upper part (far left) shows Jacob's Dream (Genesis 28). The text is "Will God indeed dwell on the Earth". Below left is a detail.

The lower part (near left) shows The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Luke 1). The text is "The Word was made flesh." Below right is a detail.

At the bottom is the dedication (John James Gulland 1910). The window is by Geoffrey Fuller Webb. On the base of the pillar on the Virgin's right is his mark, a spider's web in allusion to his surname. See below.
