Weddings

Some of the most joyful occasions in life are Weddings! They are a wonderful celebration of love and commitment. We want to help you not only to have a fantastic day, but also a fantastic married life. We offer a marriage preparation course, run over three evenings, to which all couples are usually invited. In addition one of the clergy will meet with you to discuss the details of the service, and aim to get it just right for you.

Weddings usually take place on Saturdays at 1 pm, 2.15 pm or 3.30 pm.

Church of England Marriage Measure 2008

You may be married in St. John's if you have a qualifying connection with the Church or Parish. Briefly, under the 2008 Measure you may now be married here if you were Baptized or prepared for Confirmation here or if you or a parent lived or worshipped here for six months or if a parent or grandparent was married here.
