St. John's Youth Clubs provide a meeting place for young people where they can play a variety of games, have some fun and generally let off a bit of steam. The Junior (age 10-12) and Senior (age 13-15) clubs meet on alternate Sunday evenings in term time between 6.30 and 8 p.m. in the Church Hall. Membership is for boys and girls who are in some way connected with St. John's Church. Members pay a termly subscription. The youth club has facilities for table tennis, badminton, pool, snooker, hockey, board games, listening to music and rounders and football in summer. We also have our own "tuck" shop selling sweets and drink and usually run a couple of discos a year. The club is run on a purely voluntary basis, so parents of all children who become members take turns in helping out. We operate a rota system so you will only be called upon about once every six to eight weeks to help supervise the children on a Sunday evening. Application forms for membership can be obtained via the Parish Office. |
